According to the document signed by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, on Monday, 24 candidates also secured the party’s tickets for the House of Representatives.

There have been uneasy situations in various political camps as aspirants in Ikorodu waited patiently for the official list by the party, while supporters of Bolowotan and his co – aspirants – Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, the incumbent Assembly member and young Mr Kareem Alogba, were claiming victories for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat.
Also, the camp of Mr Olakunle Matti, who contested the primary election against the incumbent Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, also did not accept the incumbent’s victory, despite the news making the rounds that Hon. Aro won the election landslide victory after the results across the Constituency were counted after the election.

Rep. Babajimi Benson, the three -term representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, as expected, made the list of the 24 successful House of Representatives’ candidates, released by the party.
Meanwhile, the camp of Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, has described the list which was published in a national newspaper, as fake.
In a release signed by the lawmaker, he urged his supporters to disregard the list and remain calm.
“The attention of the good people of Ikorodu Constituency 1 has been drawn to a fake list currently circulating online regarding the APC primary election results.

“We urge party members and supporters to disregard every unofficial publication and await authentic communication from the party leadership.
“Let us remain calm, united, and focused as progressives”, the lawmaker appealed.
